Descrizione
These sharp-toothed rosettes make an eye-catching contrast to all the silvery blue types, and their bright green fleshiness makes them easy to fit into a general garden setting as long as they have excellent drainage. They make ideal container plants as well as being surprisingly hardy in a dry spot in the garden, when they can stand almost any amount of heat and drought, and when they finally flower, the stems can reach up to 8 feet in height. Once established they will make numerous small off-sets which sometimes tunnel underground away from the parent before emerging above ground, and which can be cut off and easily rooted. SOWING ADVICE: For best results, sow seeds in good light at any time onto a good soil-based compost. Cover the seeds with fine grit or compost to approximately their own depth. We recommend germinating at 15 to 20 degrees C. Seeds should ideally germinate in between 2 and 6 weeks although they make take considerably longer. Pot on seedlings before finally planting out into a container or a well-drained spot.
